Cimstone
Our new Cimstone range is a heavy duty product, made up of 93% quartz which is one of the hardest natural materials, and 7% polyester Resin binder, enhanced with mirror, glass, basalt and seashell pieces to give an unique effect.
The slabs of Cimstone are available measuring 305 x 140 cm, thus enabling Cargo Granite to produce worktops with minimal joints. Cimstone is very versatile and can be used in both kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms, as windowsills, shelves, steps, flooring and has a huge array of applications.
Cimstone is available in a range of colours, from light colours to dark colours, with sparkles or coloured pigments, available in a variety of textured finishes it offers an alternative to Silestone.
Cimstone’s non-porous surface is resistant to stains, scratches and abrasions. It will not be scratched by cutlery or knives so there is no need for a chopping board and the whole worksurface can be used for food preparation. It cannot be damaged by acids and alkalis. It will not be stained from household chemicals, tea, wine ,vinegar and lemon juice, strong coloured spices and other foodstuffs and is therefore widely used in the commercial industries.
Due to Cimstone’s compact structure, there is no liquid absorption and this prevents microorganism and bacteria growth, therefore providing a very easily maintained and hygienic worksurface. The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) has certified Cimstone as a safe material for direct contact with any kind of food.
Cimstone’s is easily maintained with a simple clean using a liquid detergent and damp cloth, leaving the surface looking brand new and generally as clean and shiny as the day it was installed. The simplest way to maintain its looks, is to remove all stains immediately on contact before they have the potential to become a problem. Detergents containing bleach or hard scouring granules may harm surfaces over a long period of time, so these type of cleansers are best avoided.
Cimstone is certified by the German Product Analysis and Safety Center LGA GmbH and The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF). With 7 Mohns on the Mohs Scale of hardness. |
