replaced with minerals over time (fossilization). This hardens to form the mineral, often
retaining the intricate detail and cellular structure of the original plant. Dating back over 240
million years, Amazing Stone’s Classic Petrified Wood has been cleverly laid in a “retro” style
creating a contemporary original design to add to its exciting new Retro Collection. Inspired
by the eclectic 70’s era, the stone is sliced vertically and hand assembled to offer a varying
perspective on its natural beauty, and is particularly attractive as a floor surface.
