Undermount Sink
An undermount, or recessed sink is installed
under a countertop to create a seamless flow.
Where the edge of the surface will be visable
around the lip of the sink the edge will require
polishing. |

Overmount Sink Overmount
sinks are fitted directly to the kitchen cabinet
and replace the worktop area. This type of sink
is often called a 'sit-on' or 'self rimming' sink.
As these types of sink fit into the surface the
edge of the cut out will not require polishing.

Belfast & Butler Sinks
Often just a single bowl, Belfast and Butler
sinks require one Undermount Sink Cut Out - as
the edges of the worksurface are visable and will
require polishing.
These are the best sinks if you use a lot of
large pots and pans. It is also commonly seen
as a bar sink or a second sink in the kitchen
island. |

Double Bowl Sink
Double bowl sinks are the most common sink configuration
in today's kitchens. You can either have two bowls
of the same size or one can be larger than the
other.
If a splitting bar is required to give the impression
of two sinks, divided by a piece of worktop 2
